Ukraine im Blick #3 - „Geteilter Horizont!" Stimmen aus der Ukraine

Following a political science analysis of Ukraine and a reflection on West German perspectives, the third event in the “Focus on Ukraine” series will feature voices from Ukraine itself.

Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine began 4.5 years ago, and Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine has now been raging for over 12 years. But how do people there experience everyday life under these conditions? How do they continue to work as teachers, drone operators, or therapists—despite destruction, exhaustion, and despair? How does one live—or rather, survive—under Russian occupation? 

And what can we learn from their experiences for a shared future?

The book *Geteilter Horizont* (edited by Katharina Raabe and Kateryna Mishchenko) gives these voices a platform. Kateryna Mishchenko will discuss the book’s origins and the perspectives it brings together. Halyna Hartwig will read excerpts, while Olena Bour provides musical accompaniment for the evening. Viola von Cramon, an expert on Ukraine, will moderate the evening and enrich the discussion.
