Under National Socialism, millions of people were forced to work under inhumane conditions. Forms of modern forced labor and labor exploitation still exist in Germany today - seemingly unnoticed, but right in our midst.
A documentary film (20 min) will be shown at the beginning. A panel discussion will shed light on historical and current structures of forced labor, highlight differences and connections and ask: How do I recognize forced labor today - and what can we do about it? Discuss with experts from education, counseling and human rights work!
Panel:
Daniela Geppert, Documentation Center for Nazi Forced Labor
Kim Weidenberg, Service Center against Labor Exploitation, Forced Labor and Human Trafficking
Anna Schmitt, Counseling on Labor Law & Forced Labor (BEMA)
Moderation:
Tobias Seitz, Institute for Human Rights
