In the organizer's words:
a series of events organized by Lichtgrenze e.V. in cooperation with House of Ressources Bremen, focuses on perspectives that otherwise often go unheard under the motto "Making voices audible". Readings, workshops, performances and discussion panels offer space for exchange about migration, participation and social cohesion. The festival kicks off with Umeswaran Arunagirinathan, heart surgeon and author. He will read from his books and talk about his escape from Sri Lanka, his arrival in Germany and his journey from refugee to doctor. Afterwards, Bremen newcomer Suzan Zahide will play her latest songs.
