Solar-Veedels-Radtour

Come join us for a bike ride! We’ll hop on our bikes and visit four locations in Ehrenfeld that have already installed rooftop solar systems or balcony power plants. At each location, we’ll chat with the owners to learn about their reasons for installing the systems and their experiences with generating their own solar power. Of course, you’ll also pick up plenty of practical tips on installing your own system. We’ll wrap up the tour together at Bumann & Sohn.

We’ll start at the Ehrenfeld Community Center, Venloer Straße 429 (meet at 5:00 p.m. by the solar installation in Leo-Amann-Park). The BüzE is also the first stop on the solar tour, as it is currently in the process of installing a rooftop PV system itself.

Then we’ll head to Jennerstraße, where we’ll meet Christian. As a landlord, he gifted and installed balcony solar power systems for the tenants in his multi-unit building. Why? He’ll tell us, and we’re really looking forward to hearing it!

Afterward, we’ll visit “The Good Food” and chat with the landlord and building owner, Axel. He, too, has had a solar system installed on the roof of his building right in the middle of the city.

And finally, we’ll head to Bumann & Sohn, because the club also has a rooftop solar system. The operators will explain why they chose to install it and how they’re benefiting from the system.

After the tour, we’d like to invite everyone to stick around a bit longer and continue the conversation at Bumann & Sohn.

Please arrive at the meeting point on time, as we’ll be starting right on schedule.

We look forward to seeing you!
