Vernissage "Alles ist jetzt" – Aleksandra Eckes

Everything is now - or is all this now just an illusion? What is a moment and what does it consist of? And why do we believe in time? Aleksandra Eckes does not simply pose questions about time. She invites viewers to experience them.

We cordially invite you to the vernissage. It will take place on October 16, 2025 from 7 p.m. in the café.

In the colorful acrylic paintings, viewers can pause for a moment and arrive completely in the here and now. Every glance at the canvas focuses on the present, detached from the past and future. In this moment, which is sometimes more like a pause for breath, time and space become fluid: Lines and shapes seem to merge and break up a moment - perhaps because everything seems to happen simultaneously here.

The view leads directly into a timelessness that Eckes also wants to provoke. Everything that the viewer brings with them is allowed to come together.

The compositions radiate a liberating lightness. The colors, sometimes soft and discreet, sometimes bright and luminous - they give peace.
In this atmosphere of simultaneous being, you feel an intense connection, as if you were part of the atmosphere. Each color impulse acts as a small reminder not to digress, but to dive deeper.

The works on display are both an invitation and an exercise to connect - with conscious breathing, the moment, what is right now - with yourself in the here and now.

Aleksandra Eckes lives and works in Cologne. She brings her perception of the inner and outer world to the outside world in visual-aesthetic forms.

Her works on medium and large formats are created purely intuitively and do not follow a cognitive concept. With a keen sense for the fragility of color and light, she captures inner snapshots; each work is an expression of a deep inner connection that is astonishingly gripping.
