Gabriele Sperlich / Born in Dessau in 1961, the artist now lives in Leipzig. After graduating from high school and completing an apprenticeship as a library technician, she studied at the Academy of Visual Arts (HGB) from 1987 to 1993 under Dietrich Burger, Günther Thiele and Arno Rink, among others. She has been working as a freelancer in Leipzig since 1996 and is a founding member of Hoch und Partner / Galerie und Werkstatt für Holzschnitt und Hochdruck in Leipzig. From 2008 to 2017, she was a lecturer at the Leipzig Summer Academy. Her abstract works are characterized by a great variety of colors and a collage-like effect. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Germany and abroad - her works can be found in museums, public and private collections.

Susann Hoch / born in Lobenstein, Thuringia in 1963, now lives in Leipzig. 1982-83 Internship as a typesetter in the typography workshop at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig. 1983-89 Studied book design/free graphics/illustration at the HGB, graduated under Prof. Rolf Kuhrt. 1989-91 Additional studies in the graphic workshops of the HGB (lithography) 1991-93 Postgraduate studies/master student with Prof. Rolf Kuhrt at the HGB. 1992 Foundation of Hoch-Presse (publication of own artist books and graphic portfolios). 1998-2022 Head of the Bleilaus publishing house in the sociocultural center Haus Steinstraße e.V. in Leipzig. Since 2007 co-operator of "hochdruckpartner/Galerie+Werkstatt". 2022 Collaboration at the Museum für Druckkunst Leipzig. Freelance work since 2023, including teaching lithography at the HGB Leipzig. Numerous solo exhibitions and exhibition participations since 1990. We present two new series of works!
