Vokale Improvisation und Musikerfindung: Musikalisch miteinander im Gespräch
In the organizer's words:
Our instrument: our own voice. We simply have it with us. We can use it intuitively. Breath, tone, word, sound, sound, noise are our materials.
In this workshop, we will have musical conversations and set to music together what moves us, touches us and is close to our hearts.
A piece of news, a small experience on the subway, a poem, a photo, the magic of an unknown language, the buzzing of bees in our ears... all of these can be the inspiration for a musical message.
Breathing together, we listen to silence and each other, opening up the musical space for our collective spontaneous compositions: meditative, poetic, whimsical, theatrical, painterly... unique and unprecedented.
Depending on the occasion and requirements, we deal with improvisational forms of play and approaches, forms of conversation, musical aspects or compositional perspectives, creative possibilities in dealing with text and voice, speaking and singing, as well as with the orientation of listening.
Individual ideas or motifs are heard and further spun, woven, unfolded and developed through interaction. Together we invent music that nobody can come up with on their own.
Guided by the research question "What does it take for this to succeed joyfully and fruitfully?" we explore various musical experimental set-ups. We open audio-image books and gates to sounding gardens. We make music beyond style and genre. We are free for something completely new. Freshly prepared now-music in which we unfold creative cooperation and experience surprising togetherness. - Perhaps an artistic preparation for the necessary social culture of the future?
For all people who like to play seriously! Who want to listen to each other attentively and contribute vocally in order to relate to each other in sound - to linger together in our little pieces of music in a way that is as enjoyable and nourishing as it is adventurous and ready for development. Previous knowledge is both beneficial and not necessary. I am curious...
