Vom Schaf zum Garn - Workshop
In the organizer's words:
How is sheep’s wool actually turned into yarn—and what can be made from it? Shepherd Verena Hausmann introduces the Steinschaf sheep at the Nantesbuch estate and explains how transhumance and grazing shape our landscape and its biodiversity.
After the walk back to the Langes Haus, the hands-on activities continue: Together with Martina Müllner, Verena Hausmann demonstrates how sheep’s wool is processed by hand. Participants will comb and felt wool and try their hand at spinning with a hand spindle. The results will be small accessories or pre-Christmas decorations.
Afterward, the workshop will come to an open conclusion and transition directly into the “Hoagascht.”
