In the organizer's words:
What drives us: Energy and energeia between politics and poetics | Literature Days
The term energy is a high-frequency word of our time and opens up a wide field of associations and discourses in science, politics and culture. It gives rise to literary poetics and manifests itself as an experience of evidence in the performative power of the arts. On three consecutive days, the Akademie der Künste will address the pressing questions raised by the term.
The event will kick off with music and readings by members of the Academy with texts written especially for the event. From the second day onwards, a symposium will address questions relating to "Energy, Poetics and Ecology" and "Energy and Creative Power" with participants from the Academy of Arts, science, politics and business. The program will conclude with a panel discussion in which older literary texts on energy sources will be re-examined from today's perspective.
The program will be framed by artistic and discursive contributions from all sections of the Akademie der Künste, film screenings, an exhibition, video installations, presentations from the archive, guided tours of the picture cellar and the Baukunstdepot, a presentation of KUNSTWELTEN and an "Open Space: Café Climate" by the European Alliance of Academies, which invites you to join in the discussion.
