Hassan K. is a mystical one-man band from Persia. An open-source, DIY artist, Hassan blends folklore and technology, the West and the East, surf music and belly dance, swing and heavy metal… into wild live performances that border on trance. With an augmented electric setar and a drum machine, he travels from the Western Kingdom to Turan, spreading the words of his enlightened ancestors…

This multi-instrumentalist is a traditionalist who doesn’t play around with folklore, but rather seeks the essence of a millennia-old culture in order to breathe new life into it without ever compromising its integrity.
