In the "planets" exhibition, abstract and surrealistic-looking pictorial landscapes come together. The powerful black and white of the etchings by Kerstin Franke-Gneuß contrast excitingly with the colorful paintings by Matthias Bausch.

While Franke-Gneuß allows fragments of experience to emerge from the white background as dark meshes, Bausch's figurative paintings symbolically refer to the fragility of man-made systems and structures of order. In the reduction and reshaping of external reality, new "planets" emerge that need to be explored.
