WHERE IS MY FUTURE?
In the organizer's words:
We are not powerless. And above all, we are not alone.
Under the motto “Courage Instead of Powerlessness,” we invite you to Leipzig on November 21, 2026. Together, we’ll build a packed toolkit of action steps designed to help us all combat the paralyzing feeling caused by multiple crises. We want to create a safe space where we can empower one another on current issues—all in an interactive way through peer-to-peer sessions, honest conversations, space for questions, and practical skills you can take home with you right away.
Here’s what you can expect in our workshop spaces:
- Climate Action and the Rise of the Far Right: What has the climate movement actually achieved over the past 30 years? Where do we stand right now, and how can we even talk about the climate anymore? We want to look back on our successes together and discuss specific communication strategies that will make conversations about the climate possible again more often.
- The Environment in Our Neighborhood: Nature conservation and environmental protection are these complex issues that exist in the world both as abstract topics (the weather) and as concrete actions (measures at the local level). This workshop aims to show that the big, abstract issues can be changed through small, everyday, local actions.
- Boundaries & Consensus:A safe space for everyone. How do we learn to clearly communicate our own boundaries, protect ourselves from intrusive behavior, and actively stand up for one another as allies?
- Nazis in the Classroom: Whether in the schoolyard, in a lecture, or at a sports club—we’ll develop practical strategies against far-right hate speech. How do I de-escalate a situation? How do I remain capable of taking action? How do I protect myself?
- Spice it up! Let’s put an end to the endless Western clichés about the East. We’ll take a look at our strengths, our crisis management skills, and what makes us who we are—and confidently shape the Saxony of tomorrow.
- Youth in Crisis Mode: Between rearmament, peace issues, and defense—how are we actually coping with global conflicts? There’s no predefined right or wrong here, but rather space for different perspectives and for you to form your own opinions.
In between and during the sessions, there’s time to take a breather, network, and get creative. At our interactive hubs and chill-out stations, you can meet new people, share experiences, or just hang out. Because often, the most important realization of the day is this: We’re not alone; we don’t have to agree, but we’re on the same path.
Come join us, help us become self-reliant together, and feel the power that comes from being many.
