Philipp is 17 and about to graduate from high school. His successful father has a new girlfriend. His mother is only a blur in his thoughts. Philipp, who doesn't want to stand out, finds support from his best friend Lorenz. When the police call looking for Philipp's mother, he has to make a decision.
Annika Büsing (born 1981) has written a closely observed book about a family that is almost broken by the mother's mental illness. She lives as a secondary school teacher and author in Bochum. Her first novel "Nordstadt" (2022) won several awards
