Bernhard Tewes: Glimmer - The new psychology of positive triggers
Lecture & reading
Glimmer! Behind this term lie micro-moments of security and joy. And if we learn to better perceive the glimmer in our everyday lives, they have the potential to provide small mood boosts, awaken hope and create inner peace, lightness and contentment. Bernhard Tewes provides a well-founded and accessible introduction to the new psychology of "positive triggers", explains the health-promoting effect of glimmers and shows how triggers can be dissolved and glimmers discovered. With situational exercises, he offers concrete help for self-help in recognizing mica and making your own life "shine".
12:30 to 1 p.m. | Lecture hall
Protecting the climate, strengthening the soul - why climate protection is good for our mental health
The event uses current studies to show how climate change can increase mental stress - and how climate protection measures can also contribute to greater well-being and mental stability, often in surprising ways.
With: Helen Dauterstedt (specialist in psychiatry & psychotherapy), Health for Future

Really different - differently right - an interactive reading with Kathrin Köller and Irmela Schautz
The pressure to function is great. From an early age. Anyone who is somehow different quickly has the feeling that they are not quite right. And this is also conveyed to them. People with ADHD should try a little harder and autistic people shouldn't be so sensitive. With reading and spelling disorders and dyscalculia, it takes a lot of luck not to end up on the sidetrack early on. But today we know how neurodivergent brains tick: differently, but correctly! Youth literature prizewinners Kathrin Köller and Irmela Schautz take you on a fascinating journey into the world of neurodiversity: a passionate plea for a positive view of the diversity of our brains!
An interactive reading for everyone from 11 to 99 years old
2 to 4 p.m.
"Where reward arises in the brain" - A VR installation to join in and marvel at
The brain is a complex, 3-dimensional system in which different regions are interconnected. Different networks are known and entrusted with specific tasks. The reward system has the task of evaluating events and thereby creating incentives for action and learning. This installation developed at TU Dresden presents this system in a video and then offers visitors the opportunity to explore it independently in a virtual augmented reality.
With: Michael Marxen, Group Leader for Dynamic Brain States and Imaging Methods at the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, TU Dresden

The aim is to be fully present without giving advice - an experience between performance art and mindfulness practice. In the second half of the workshop, what has been learned will be put into practice directly in the exhibition. The workshop will be led by Jonas Klinkenberg from the DHMD. Registration at jonas.klinkenberg@dhmd.de
