Workshop „Wissen, Widerstand, Wahlen: Demokratie lesen, verstehen und gestalten“
PICK OF THE DAY
You cannot miss this event.
In the organizer's words:
What do libraries have to do with democracy? Quite a lot! They are places where knowledge is accessible to everyone, making social participation possible.
In this interactive workshop, you’ll discover the library from a whole new perspective. A political tour will explore topics such as resistance and participatory decision-making, as well as the question of why free thought and access to information are indispensable for a democratic society.
Then it’s time to get hands-on: In the workshop on the 2026 Berlin elections, you’ll learn from young activists involved in the WIRA project what’s up for election in September, why your vote counts, and what opportunities there are to actively shape politics and society.
This is all about exchange, discussion, and your perspective. Bring your questions, experiences, and ideas—because democracy thrives when people think for themselves, have a say, and get involved.
The workshop is open to teens and adults ages 16 and up and offers an open, accessible introduction to political education. No prior knowledge is required—curiosity and a desire to engage are all you need.
Registration is requested, but walk-ins are welcome.
