Y'akoto, the celebrated German-Ghanaian artist, will perform songs from her new album "Part 4: The Witch" live for the first time in February and March 2025.
Y'akoto's music is vibrant and authentic - a captivating blend of spirituality and sensuality that combines Afrobeats and pop with dance and R&B.
She made her breakthrough in Europe with her debut EP "Tamba" on Warner Records in 2011. Y'akoto's music combines elements of R&B, pop, singer-songwriter and soul. Her albums "Babyblues" (2012) and "Moody Blues" (2014) showed her versatility, while the concept-oriented "Mermaid Blues" (2017) was praised by critics.
Her latest work "Part 4: The Witch" will be released on July 10, 2024. The album was produced with Grammy-nominated producer Nabeyin and Liam Gallagher collaborator Dan McDougall and explores themes of love, transformation and the inner strength of women. With new collaborators such as REASON, Rincon Sapiência and JuJu Rogers, Y'akoto creates a mysterious and encouraging world.
Y'akoto can also look back on an impressive live career. Almost all of her tours in recent years have been sold out. She has given concerts in cities such as Brussels, Paris and Amsterdam and shared the stage with artists such as Erykah Badu, Marcus Miller, Esperanza Spalding and Joy Denalane.
