Zeit zum Handeln: AfD stoppen! - Demonstration nach Wahl in Sachsen-Anhalt
In the organizer's words:
It is a shocking result: About 44 percent of voters in Saxony-Anhalt voted for the far-right AfD. A party that discriminates against people based on their background, dreams of deporting millions, and is actively working to destroy democracy. We are angry and appalled, but above all, we are determined. We will stand up to the attacks from the right—loudly, visibly, and in solidarity.
That is why we need a strong civil society. We must stand together when fundamental democratic values come under pressure. We demand that all political parties continue to rule out any cooperation with the far right!
Our solidarity goes out to everyone in Saxony-Anhalt. Especially people with immigrant backgrounds, people with disabilities, and queer people. We must stand together in solidarity, build friendships, and be there for one another.
Now is not the time for resignation. Anyone who stays home now leaves the field open to the AfD. We are all called upon now to speak out. Come out on Saturday, September 12 at 12:00 p.m. to Leipzig’s Marktplatz as part of the nationwide “Time to Act” campaign to show solidarity with the people and civil society in Saxony-Anhalt and to prevent the AfD from winning further elections!
The band 100 Kilo Herz, among others, will perform at the rally. More information about the program will be posted shortly on our social media channels.
