Classic and modern texts and songs will create an eerie silence in the audience when a skeleton is brought to life, when Schiller's 'Bürgschaft' can no longer be surpassed in terms of drama, when 'Der Erlkönig' makes the child shiver in its father's arms and an Irish lad digs his own grave in the graveyard at night. Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan and Simon and Garfunkel fit seamlessly into centuries-old compositions and ballads, before the audience breathes a sigh of relief as Matthias Claudius' moon rises at the end.

Marion Hellmann and Hanna Schilling (both from the Hamburg Fairy Tale Forum) tell fairy tales, Elisabeth Lehmann (accompanied on the piano by Henning Albrecht) sings and Dietrich Schilling takes you into the dark world of ballads.
