Since 1988, a gem has resided on the fifth floor of Mehringdamm in Kreuzberg: the Berliner Kabarett Anstalt, or BKA Theater for short, or - as the Berliners call it - the BKA.

Over the past decades, these three letters have become synonymous with the best entertainment: comedy, cabaret, chanson, musical cabaret, new music, off-musicals, poetry and singer/songwriter programs; the whole kaleidoscope of current stage events, masterful, irritating, sometimes politically incorrect, never pleasing, sometimes trashy, but always special and always with its finger on the pulse of the times.
