With the 7th edition of the unique decentralized neighbourhood festival, the Machys of Düsseldorfer Büdchentag e.V. are presenting a loving, exciting and, as always, free Büdchentag - true to this year's motto: ALL VIBES ONLY!
Unique & free neighborhood festival
This year, 40 Büdchen will be taking part in this celebration of Rhenish Büdchen culture. For the first time, Fürstenplatz will host a neighborhood festival, live music and a children's program. Visitors can look forward to the trend sport Hobby Horse Riding and a stage with live music - including a unique reunion concert by Düsseldorf soul singer Carmen Brown and her band. At Friedensplätzchen there will be a mixed bag with lots of stalls, a children's program and music. Visitors will also find the merch booth of the Düsseldorfer Büdchentag e.V. with T-shirts, mugs, surprises and gifts.
Music & crafts
A special kind of neighborhood festival will take place on Hermannplatz with magic theater for the kids, a craft market and the best dance music with DJs Kate Boss and Ballin' Bdog. The Modularbüdchen (Kiosk 21, Karolingerstraße 105) will also be a highly interesting musical venue. Here, the art of operating analog modular synthesizers will be honoured!
As every year, there will be some musical evergreens at the start: techno with a view of the Rhine at Strandpiraten am Fortunabüdchen. The two Düsseldorf labels "Themes for Great Cities" and Candomblé will be playing at Pausenbrot (Färberstraße 32). A mixed bag of queer house and Kurdish electro is available at the "Get Over It" kiosk (Cigi 44, Bahnstraße 59).
This year's Büdchentag is made possible thanks to the support of our sponsor Sipgate and funding from the City of Düsseldorf's Department of Culture. The children's program is sponsored by the BürgerStiftung Düsseldorf.
This year we are entering into a media partnership with Rausgegangen, which will give us and you a fantastic app special. Here you can create your favorite Büdchen route and have a wonderful bird's eye view of all the locations and programs on Büdchen Day.
About the Düsseldorfer Büdchentag
The association Düsseldorfer Büdchentag e.V. has been organizing the Büdchentag every year since 2016. This decentralized and low-threshold neighbourhood festival is attended by freelance artists, creatives and neighbors as well as the operators of Büdchen. Everyone is invited to take part and get involved. A Büdchen serves as a social contact point in the neighborhoods, a meeting place for neighbors of all ages, genders, origins and religions. Büdchentag offers a unique opportunity to celebrate this place and the diversity of cultures and communities that make Düsseldorf so special.
We look forward to seeing you there!
