The lake has a separate non-swimmer area. There are changing rooms, a shower, toilets, a disabled toilet and a kiosk. Since August 2019, an emergency call point with a defibrillator from the Björn Steiger Foundation and the DLRG has been available to visitors to the lake at the kiosk.
There are clear rules: It is forbidden to use boats, stand-up paddling, bring dogs, set up fire pits and use barbecues, among other things. Camping and staying between 23:00 and 06:00 are also prohibited.
The Plüderhäuser See bathing area can be reached via the B29, Plüderhausen exit or Waldhausen exit. There are around 300 paid parking spaces (cars €1.00 per hour or part thereof, day ticket €5.00; motorcycles free of charge).
There are many leisure facilities nearby (tennis courts, balloon launch area, mini golf course, fishing paradise).
No bathing supervision available.
