In Alexandra, Südafrika, wo zwei Drittel der Frauen Gewalt überlebt haben, hat es sich eine Gruppe von Müttern zur Aufgabe gemacht, das Schicksal ihres Viertels zu verändern. Zanele, Thandiwe und Khosi sind Gesundheitsfachkräfte, die in den verwinkelten und chaotischen Straßen von Alexandra arbeiten. Diese drei Mütter aus dem Herzen der Gemeinde unterstützen unermüdlich Hunderte von neuen Müttern in ihren glücklichsten, aber auch traurigsten Momenten. Ihr Ziel: neuen Müttern und ihren Babys durch die ersten 1001 DAYS zu helfen, die die kritischsten im Leben eines Menschen sind.

In Alexandra, South Africa, where two-thirds of women are survivors of violence, a group of mothers are on a mission to change the fortunes of their neighbourhood. Zanele, Thandiwe and Khosi are health professionals working in the winding, chaotic streets of Alexandra. These three mothers from the heart of the community tirelessly support hundreds of new mothers at their happiest and saddest moments. Their aim: to help new mums and their babies through the first 1001 DAYS, which are the most critical in a person’s life.
