DE: Die über 1000 Jahre alte Muwashah-Dichtung ist eine besondere Strophengedichtform mit wechselnden Metren. Sie war für die damaligen arabischen Dichtungen ein Novum. Der Muwashah ist das Ergebnis des Zusammentreffens dreier Kulturen in Al Andalus in dem drei monotheistischen Religionen zusammenlebten. In den Phasen der Toleranz ließ der Muwashah ein goldenes poetisches Zeitalter entstehen. Diese Dichtungsart wurde dann im islamischen Spanien sehr beliebt. Später pflegte und entwickelte man auch in Aleppo, diese Dichtungkunst weiter.

EN: Muwashah poetry, which is over 1000 years old, is a special form of poetry with changing meters. It was a novelty for Arabic poetry at the time. The Muwashah is the result of the meeting of three cultures in Al Andalus, where three monotheistic religions lived together. Later, this art of poetry was also cultivated and developed in Aleppo.
