Are there queer writers in Düsseldorf? Let’s find out together!

Join us for a relaxed, community-driven evening celebrating queer voices, storytelling and connection. Whether you write, read or are just curious, this is a space to meet like-minded people and explore LGBTQ+ perspectives in literature. 

We’ll kick things off with some easy get-to-know-each-other activities, followed by a short and accessible intro to LGBTQ+ concepts using The Genderbread Person plus a quick Q&A.

After a short break, we’ll hear from several queer writers from Düsseldorf sharing their work and experiences: what they write, where they find inspiration and how their identity shapes (or doesn’t shape) their creative process. Expect short readings, honest insightsand space for your questions.

We’ll wrap up with a curated list of must-read LGBTQ+ books and end the evening with informal networking and drinks.
