arm dances is a site-specific performing sculpture. It is inspired by the physicality and drama found in renaissance sculptures. Thinking of dance as a form of sculpting the body in the moment of movement in arm dances the five dancers together move the arm object.
The object is sculpted and it sculpts the moving bodies in return.
In a 30 min. improvised journey of carefully constructed situations, the dancers together create the stories of this moving sculpture.
