Berlin-based Jerôme is 1/2 of the DJ duo KAT:10 and a founding member of the newly established collective RUMORE. In his sets, he blends multiple niches of house and techno, moving between deep, soulful, and minimal styles and more progressive, techy, and tribal territories, shaped by influences from dub, electro, garage, and proggy selections. Drawn to distinctive groove textures and spacious soundscapes rather than fast drops, his track curation spans eras, weaving late ’90s and early 2000s hidden gems with carefully chosen contemporary releases. Originally rooted in Cologne's scene, Jerôme has performed at numerous venues and collaborated with local collectives for festivals, off-locations, and podcasts. His approach to DJing is informed both by his background as an urban and contemporary dancer and by his work as an academic philosopher, focusing on aesthetics, affectivity, and sociality. He envisions the dancefloor as a unique space that encourages movement, experimental exchange, and the formation of cyphers, where attention shifts toward the shared mood in the room rather than the DJ.
