In einem kleinen abgelegenen Dorf im Norden Senegals sehnen sich Banel und Adama nach einem eigenen Zuhause. Sie haben beschlossen, getrennt von ihren Familien zu leben, doch Adama will Banels Pflicht, das Amt des zukünftigen Dorfoberhauptes einzunehmen, nicht akzeptieren. Als Adama dem Dorfrat von ihrem Vorhaben berichtet, gerät die gesamte Gemeinschaft in Aufruhr. Der Regen, der eigentlich kommen sollte, bleibt aus, das Vieh auf den Weiden stirbt und die Saat vertrocknet. Banel und Adama lernen, dass dort, wo sie leben, kein Platz für ihre Leidenschaften ist, geschweige denn für Chaos. Ramata-Toulaye Sys erster Spielfilm lief im offiziellen Wettbewerb der Filmfestspiele Cannes 2023.

In a small remote village in northern Senegal, Banel and Adama long for a home of their own. Having decided to live separately from their families, Adama refuses to accept his obligation as the future chief of the village. When Adama informs the village council of his intention, the entire community is thrown into turmoil. The promised rains fail to come, the cattle in the pastures die and the seeds wither. Banel and Adama come to realize where they live is no place for their passions, much less for chaos. Ramata-Toulaye Sy's first feature film was in the official competition of the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
