DJ Filburt is a Leipzig-based DJ, producer, and co-founder of the renowned label O*RS. His music blends emotional depth with hypnotic grooves, moving effortlessly between deep house, disco, and forward-thinking electronic sounds. Known for his atmospheric soundscapes, intricate arrangements, and a unique balance of energy and emotion, Filburt’s productions stand out in the electronic music scene. As a curator and label head, he not only shapes the sonic identity of O*RS but also plays a pivotal role in defining Leipzig’s club culture.

Matthias Fiedler finally made the move to Leipzig this summer, a city he’s loved for over a decade. Back when he first got to know the local scene, Filburt was one of the first people who caught his attention. That’s why it feels extra special for Matthias that his “official debut” as a Leipziger is with Filburt—and even more so because Filburt personally invited him. Matthias runs a small label called Blaq Numbers, which focuses on vinyl and tapes. Filburt has been featured on the label several times, most recently on a solidarity compilation benefiting the Bärenherz Children’s Hospice. He also hosts a monthly show on Noods Radio called Misumi Beach Selections. Musically, Matthias keeps things open, much like his label’s approach. His sets typically lean towards house infused with funk and soul, with a bit of boogie, (Italo-)disco, and, especially at the start, some hip-hop and downtempo vibes.
