CoreChaos, the Munich-based collective, is back to redefine the possibilities of our dancefloors at Blitz Club, delivering nothing less than a heart-wrenching and sweat-drenched Emotional Hardcore-Punk show with the hotly tipped Berlin Screamo/Emoviolence band Soastasphrenas, southern German Emo-institution I Saw Delight and a tint of obsidian IDM from Brnjsmin on our dark and cozy PLUS floor. No stages, no hierarchies, no fixed entrance fees—CoreChaoscelebrates an exhilarating rush of catharsis and DIY culture at Blitz.

Piercing and poignant, the quartet sweeps through their sets full of sad and violent noise that doesn’t need more than half an hour to make a lasting impression. Soastasphrenas is an old 18th-century Greek phrase that generally describes someone as being >of sound mind<—or mentally healthy. Is all the noise joyful? Not in the usual sense, but the ancient Greeks already had an answer to this unique sentiment: κάθαρσις (kátharsis)—an experience of emotional release and purification, often inspired by or through art. Soastasphrenas’ expression storms minds, hearts, and veins.

Brnjsmin, the young Munich-based IDM electronic musician and graphic designer with a long-standing background as a drummer in the emo and black metal scenes, has firmly established himself in the world of electronic music. With releases on labels like Very Deep Records, he delivers delicate, profound, ambient-oriented electronica. At the end of September, he will give a live preview of his second album, marked by captivating world-weariness, offering an intriguing sonic contrast that seamlessly connects with the intense emotional universe of Soastasphrenas.

Opening the evening are southern German DIY-Emo institution I Saw Daylight. The quintet has been strictly DIY for literally decades, and the impact of their firm and captivating stance is impossible to miss and resist.

Keine Bühnen, keine Hierarchien, keine festen Eintrittspreise—CoreChaos feiert einen Rausch der Katharsis und DIY-Kultur im Blitz. Im intimen, dunklen PLUS Dancefloor des Clubs.

Soastasphrenas brauchen nicht mehr als eine halbe Stunde, um mit ihrer durchdringenden Mischung aus >sad & violent noise< einen bleibenden Eindruck zu hinterlassen. Der Bandname, ein alter griechischer Ausdruck aus dem 18. Jahrhundert, beschreibt allgemein jemanden als >geistig gesund< oder >bei Verstand<. Doch macht der Lärm Freude? Nicht im üblichen Sinne, aber die alten Griechen hatten bereits eine Antwort auf dieses einzigartige Gefühl: κάθαρσις (Katharsis)—eine Erfahrung von emotionaler Befreiung und Reinigung, oft inspiriert durch oder vermittelt durch Kunst.

Giovanni Raabe, der junge Münchner IDM-Elektroniker und Grafiker, der auf eine langjährige Erfahrung als Schlagzeuger im Emo- und Blackmetal-Bereich zurückblickt, ist längst fest in der Elektronischen Musikwelt angekommen. Mit Releases auf Labels wie Very Deep Records spielt er zarte, tiefgründige, ambient-orientierte Electronica. Ende September gibt er live einen ersten Vorgeschmack auf sein zweites, von fesselndem Weltschmerz gezeichnetes Album und wird damit einen spannenden klanglichen Kontrast bieten, der nahtlos an den lodernden Gefühlskosmos von Soastasphrenas andockt. Eröffnet wird der Abend von den süddeutschen DIY-Institutionen I Saw Daylight. Die Emo-Dauerbrenner aus Ulm überzeugen seit Jahren mit Leidenschaft und Haltung, die weder zu übersehen, noch zu überhören ist.
