Deep, dense and mesmeric techno with hints of nimble electro and coarse breaks is at the centre of Bailey Ibbs’ sound, who makes his Blitz debut tonight. The Tresor resident and co-founder of London’s Night Service events crafts compelling narratives with striking precision, marked by clean-cut textures. Immersive techno at the height of the times — dashing yet never rushed.

He’s in good company alongside Blitz resident Kareem El Morr and frequent visitor Marie Montexier. Kareem El Morr is another sleek and effective DJ and producer, adept at state-of-the-art, lucid techno, while Marie Montexier is back with eclectic rhythms travelling the past and present of house and techno. The vinyl devotee has become one of the scene’s cornerstones, with a busy touring schedule brimming with consistent sets, her work on the Paryìa imprint — marrying functional and experimental approaches for the dancefloor — and the Précey collective, supporting women, queer and non-binary artists. Her sets blend the analogue warmth of wax with sharp delivery, tightly marrying rhythm and sound, groove and immersion, for delirious dance delight.
