blumay Pop-up-Galerie

blumay works with photography—and with distance from it. The images are supplemented, reworked, overpainted—not to clarify, but to deepen perception and open further layers within the image. Precision lies in the procedure. Images are sorted, sequenced, brought into relation. What emerges is not a narrative but a provisional order: a chain of possibilities, not a solution. What remains is the residue: trace, veil, resistance.

Exhibitions in Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and Italy, as well as Foto Art Basel in collaboration with Art Talk Magazine. Most recently, blumay exhibited in Berlin. Seif & Thiel have worked as blumay since 2003. 

Edition: 3 works per motif, each individually finished—each piece is unique.
