Fundamental Breathwork Workshop – The Conscious Connected Breath and more with Martina

Held in English on August, 31ˢᵗ and September, 15ᵗʰ, 2:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Breath means life – The breath is one of the natural functions of our body that we often don’t pay much attention to, as the breath works without our active involvement. Yet, the breath significantly influences our mental and physical health and well-being.

Our days are often packed full. We run from one appointment to the next and often need more time to notice what is happening inside us. We have learned to suppress our true emotions or at least keep them very much in order to function in everyday life. This survival strategy may work in the short term. However, if we repeatedly suppress our emotions over months or years, these emotions/energies remain trapped in our body and can manifest themselves in physical, mental or emotional discomfort/pain.

Structure of the workshop

We start with a welcome meditation and introduction. Immediately afterwards, we will dive into the theory of breathwork, why we should breathe consciously, and how breathing affects our nervous systems, bodies, minds, and emotions.
You will learn two breathing techniques for everyday life: one that activates and one that regulates your nervous system.
We will then move on to the „Conscious Connected Breath“ practice and end the session with a final meditation and sharing.

Breathwork – the power of the connected breath

The Conscious Connected Breath can be described as an active meditation that helps to reduce the chatter in the mind and release emotion through the practice of this physical breathing technique. Breathwork acts as a portal and door to our internal and external worlds. In one session, you can create space and expansion along with an opportunity for shifts, movement, insights, and change.

It gives you a chance to come back to your body, which holds us so dearly together and works non-stop so that we can exist here and now. It is beautiful and nourishing to do this in a group setting.

About Martina – Breathwork Coach & Yoga Teacher:

Over the last ten years, I have participated in various types of international training and workshops on body, mind, and emotions (energies). I believe that the most powerful skill in life is to understand ourselves holistically; everything else evolves from that. This inspired me to set up a Breathwork Retreat Center in Sri Lanka, where I guide people through a life-changing process of reconnection using various tools. In the past 6 years I have held over 50 international intensive Breathwork & Yoga retreats and several workshops in Europe.

I am a certified 760-hour yoga teacher (Hatha, Synergy, Yin), a 400-hour breathwork facilitator from Alchemy of Breath, and a Reiki and NLP practitioner. I am currently training with Patrick Mackeown of Buteyko Clinic International to become a Buteyko Breathing Instructor.
