ChessMates: Casual chess nights in Bremen

We are a platform for helping connecting people to play relaxed, in-person chess. We usually meet every Sunday at 17:30 at Café Vinyl in Bremen.

Our chess nights are designed to be welcoming, social, and low-pressure. The focus is simply on enjoying the game, meeting others, and playing several casual games throughout the evening.

We play timed games (usually 10+0 or 10+5), which keeps things dynamic and gives everyone the chance to face different opponents without feeling rushed.

All skill levels are welcome - whether you’re completely new to chess, getting back into it, or already an experienced player.

Because our group is international, communication is primarily in English so everyone can feel included.

Location updates are shared via Instagram stories and especially our WhatsApp group.
