Bei dieser Veranstaltung laden wir Sie dazu ein, durch ein interaktives Erlebnis sowohl die lokale Kultur Japans als auch die japanische Kultur in Berlin kennenzulernen.

Sie haben die Möglichkeit, traditionelles Handwerk aus meiner Heimatstadt Ōshū in der Präfektur Iwate zu entdecken und außerdem Wanko Soba zu erleben – eine einzigartige und interaktive Esskultur aus dem ländlichen Japan.

Darüber hinaus veranstalten wir einen kleinen Markt mit Kunstwerken und Produkten, die die japanische Kultur präsentieren und dabei den Schwerpunkt auf kulturelle Nachhaltigkeit legen.

Außerdem bieten wir sowohl traditionelle als auch kreative Gerichte auf Basis von Soba sowie authentische japanische Desserts aus Mochi an – für einen echten Geschmack Japans.

At this event, we invite you to explore both local Japanese culture and Japanese culture found in Berlin through an immersive experience. You will have the opportunity to experience traditional crafts from my hometown, Ōshū City in Iwate Prefecture, as well as try Wanko Soba, a unique and interactive dining experience from local Japan. In addition, we will host a mini market featuring artworks and products that highlight Japanese culture with a focus on curtural sustainability. We will serve both traditional and creative soba dishes, along with authentic Japanese desserts made with mochi — offering a true taste of Japan.

What is Wanko Soba?

“Wanko” means small bowl in Iwate dialect. Small portions of soba are served one after another, and each time you finish a bowl, it is immediately refilled. Many participants challenge themselves to see how many bowls they can eat.
