Companions ist eine Ausstellung, die sich mit Skeletten imaginärer Wesen beschäftigt. Die Besucher*innen sind eingeladen im Flutgraben e.V. ihre eigene Vorstellungskraft und Kreativität aufleben zu lassen.

In mitten des Raumes liegen ausgestreckt Glieder, nachgeahmt aus Gips. Ihre Knochen reichen teils bis zu 4 Meter und sind wie in einer letzten Bewegung auf dem Boden abgelegt. An den Wänden ergänzen Gemälde die Körper der Wegbegleiter aus einer anderen Urzeit. 

Besonders in Zeiten, in denen Algorithmen und Künstliche Intelligenz den Alltag rahmen, fordert die Ausstellung die Besucher*innen dazu auf, wieder zu ihrer eigenen Intuition zurückzukehren. Wie hat das imaginäre Wesen wohl früher gelebt? Woher kommen sie? Wie hat es sich bewegt und funktioniert? All solche Fragen sollen auch einen Raum des Dialogs und Austausches anregen.

Companions ist das Master-Abschlussprojekt von Caroline Weingart, die Szenographie an der Filmhochschule Babelsberg studierte.

"Companions" is an exhibition that explores the skeletons of imaginary creatures. Visitors are invited to let their imagination and creativity run wild at Flutgraben e.V.

In the middle of the room lie outstretched limbs, recreated in plaster. Some of their bones extend up to 4 meters and are laid on the floor as if in a final movement. On the walls, paintings complement the bodies of these companions from another prehistoric era. 

Especially in an age when algorithms and artificial intelligence shape our daily lives, the exhibition invites visitors to reconnect with their own intuition. How might this imaginary creature have lived in the past? Where do they come from? How did it move and function? All such questions are also intended to foster a space for dialogue and exchange.

“Companions” is the master’s thesis project by Caroline Weingart, who studied scenography at the Film University Babelsberg.
