Cosy is bringing you something VERY special: standup comedy solo with Adi Parmar!!

If you’ve been to one of our Cosy Comedy nights before you know that our shows feel a warm hug. 🧸 It’s a chance to yourself a break from overthinking and to sit back, get cosy and start laughing about all of our worries, fears and failures together. And this time we are featuring one of our favorite, silliest, funniest, most charming, most likeable comedians and performers who is gracing us with his solo comedy hour and we are BEYOND excited. 🥳

Born in the 90s to his mom and dad, Adi Parmar did not know that one day he will be writing this blurb about his debut comedy show; Sunny Boy.

And today, as he writes it, he is wondering if he should say something like, ‘this show cannot be described with one word’ (pretentious) or ‘this show is about fatherhood’ (mundane, not ENTIRELY true). Instead, he is asking the question,

Is fatherhood real or is it a lie made up by BIG childhood to sell MORE therapy?

Join Adi Parmar, during his life in North Holland (Netherlands) as he recalls his unforgettable childhood in North India (India) and makes sense of it all through the best medicine there is: laughter (hahaha).

Lui Beca’s standup is adorably awkward, heart-warmingly genuine, and full of unexpected punchlines. Offering a fresh perspective as a young queer Eastern European, her set feels like a haunted house tour of her unpredictable mind. She playfully engages with the audience turning every performance into a truly unique experience. You’ll laugh, cry, and want to become her best friend after!

A software engineer turned hardware comedian, Anshita, has created a name in the international comedy scene in the EU with their political satires, funny punch up routines, and an unfunny itch to decolonise standup comedy. Currently on tour with their third solo show, WHERE IS YOUR HUSBAND?

Cosy Comedy is run by Shari Mahrdt, a local Berlin-based comedian and host who once (every day) considered becoming a yoga teacher but realized the only pose she’s mastered is awkward (and she gets the chakras mixed up ALL the time). Shari thrives on keeping people laughing, guessing, and occasionally wondering if they’ve accidentally joined her group therapy/self help group (they have).
