Evolfo

Evolfo is the sound that breaks through the fuzz on the low end of your radio dial and echoes out the back door of a pink neon lit bar. Mainstays of Brooklyn's clubs and DIY spaces, as well as the finest basement venues coast to coast, Evolfo has cut adventurous tracks through the U.S. and Europe, gaining initiates and devotees every time they cram onto a stage to deliver their live show. The band melts down decades worth of eclectic and bizarro records and puts on display a house shaking mix of garage rock, cosmic music, psych, and soul. Like the faithful crate-diggers who have come before them, Evolfo mines the past for sounds and grooves that history left on the shelf. When they breathe their smoke into these forms, it produces something new.

With 2 records, an EP, and multiple single releases under their belt, the band is now gearing up to release their most ambitious record yet. “Of Love” will be the bands 3rd full length LP and it was born at Sound Home - a recording studio of the band’s own design hidden within the Ridgewood neighborhood in Queens, NY. The songs contained on the album were edited and distilled out of over one hundred hours of improvised recordings that the band made together over many years. “Of Love” is set to release in 2026 on the band’s own label Food of Love.

In the years between releases, Evolfo has remained very active and has had the great benefit of playing in support of legendary modern psych bands such as WITCH, Mystery Lights, Levitation Room, and Elephant Stone. In 2025, they ended their fall tour with a milestone performance at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Park in San Francisco. They remain eager to keep the show on the road going into 2026 as they cruise ever deeper into their groove, cosmic music, and heavy psych experiments.
