we are FALSE LEFTY. veva (AT) standing on drums and tom (GB) on guitar. reduced to the max - what at first glance may seem like a stale advertising slogan is indeed our credo. three tatty drums and a shabby guitar strung with three strings shape our sound. as much as the setup may evoke memories of the white stripes, so little does the music. FALSE LEFTY’s unique style moves between alternative rock, indie and post-punk, with a strong rhythmic focus and skillful melodic songwriting. sometimes even fragile and intimate, but always powerful, rhythmic and unmistakable. FALSE LEFTY also stand for a new era of punk culture and you can’t help but wonder what lies behind the unusual band name. re-trained left-handers or right-handers faking being left handed? FALSE LEFTY is a clear stance and working-class ethos: more solidarity and less us-verus-them mentality, also in between lefties themselves. in other words:
«i would rather be a false lefty, than no lefty at all»
