Finissage: Dialogues of Wonder

Join us for a last chance to see Kitra's solo show on an evening dedicated to abstract art and the dialogues around it.

The exhibition ‘Dialogues of Wonder’ presents a selection of recent works by the artist Kitră whose practice explores the relationship between order and uncertainty through precisely constructed visual structures.

His works are based on geometric grid systems, in which the structure functions both as a working method and as a response to an unstable world. Grouped into visual cycles that mark different stages of a continuous process of exploration, they maintain a constant tension between order and variation.

The dialogue – between the works, between the artistic practice and the exhibition space, between the artist and the audience – forms the core of this investigation, as reflected in the exhibition’s title. The English term ‘wonder’, which implies both curiosity and doubt, describes a state of shared exploration between artist and viewer, in which visual order becomes an instrument of discovery and reinterpretation.

The exhibition brings together drawing, painting, photography and a site-specific intervention, demonstrating how the artist’s formal language transforms depending on the medium. As part of the exhibition, the public is invited to ask the artist questions, extending the dialogue beyond the gallery space.
