Frente Cumbiero, led by composer and producer Mario Galeano Toro (Ondatrópica, Los Pirañas), is at the forefront of the new cumbia movement. With a sound that blends traditional roots with experimental textures, the band has performed at MoMA NYC, Roskilde, Womad, Fuji Rock, and major festivals worldwide. Their music expands the boundaries of cumbia, transforming it into a force of both celebration and reflection.
 
Karen y Los Remedios take cumbia into new sonic territories, mixing rebajado, psychedelia, Afro-Latin percussion, reggaeton, and electronic influences. Their latest album, Silencio, is an exploration of love, loss, and self-discovery, balancing melancholy with hypnotic rhythms.
