Eines Tages schlief Hassan am Fuße eines Grabes ein. Seit fast vierzig Jahren ist er nun dort und damit zum Wächter des Friedhofs Djellaz in Tunis geworden. GARDIEN DES MONDES (WÄCHTER DER WELTEN), wacht über die Würde der Bewohner des Friedhofs, die keine Stimme mehr haben. Auf der Suche nach Liebe und Freiheit öffnet dieser Mann am Scheideweg zweier Welten der Regisseurin Leïla Chaïbi seine Gedanken, seine Hoffnungen, seine Zweifel und sein ganz persönliches Universum. Dieses intime Porträt ist eine Einladung zum Nachdenken über den Platz des Jenseits und der Lebenden in dieser Welt.

One day, Hassan fell asleep at the foot of a tomb. For almost forty years, he has remained there and has become the guardian of the Djellaz cemetery in Tunis. GARDIEN DES MONDES (GUARDIAN OF THE WORLDS), watches over the dignity of the inhabitants of this cemetery who no longer have a voice. In search of love and freedom, this man at the crossroads of two worlds opens his thoughts, his hopes, his doubts and his universe to the director Leïla Chaïbi. This intimate portrait is an invitation to reflect on the place of the afterlife and the living in this world.
