Seit fast 30 Jahren ist das YAAM der Hotspot für Underground-Musik, Street Art und alternative Kultur mitten in Berlin. Als bunter, lebendiger Ort, der soziale Zusammengehörigkeit, multikulturelle Begegnungen, Kunst und Musik feiert, ist es der perfekte Ort, um “Harder Than The Rock” zu zeigen. 

In diesem Film geht’s um The Cimarons, Großbritanniens erste Reggae-Band. Obwohl sie eine große Rolle beim Aufstieg des Genres aus Jamaika gespielt und mit Legenden wie Bob Marley und Paul McCartney zusammengearbeitet haben, blieb ihre eigene Musik oft im Schatten. Der Dokumentarfilm begleitet sie auf ihrem Weg, ihren Traum zu verwirklichen: ein letztes Mal live aufzutreten. 

Nach dem Film gibt es eine Q&A-Session mit dem Regisseur und eine Afterparty, die vom YAAM organisiert wird. Freut euch auf eine spannende Nacht mit tollen Filmen, mitreißender Musik und Kultur!

As a lively, colorful enclave dedicated to social unity, multicultural interactions, art, and music, it's the ideal venue for presenting Harder than the Rock. 

This film by Warmington chronicles the rise of The Cimarons, Britain’s pioneering reggae band. Though they were instrumental in the genre’s explosion from Jamaica and collaborated with icons like Bob Marley and Paul McCartney, their own music often went underappreciated. The documentary captures their journey as they chase a dream of performing live one final time. 

The film will be followed by a Q&A session with the director and an afterparty hosted by YAAM. Join us for a thrilling night packed with exciting films, pulsating music, and vibrant culture!
