Jim Jarmusch is not only good at making films. Under the moniker SQÜRL, the director also makes music with composer-collaborator Carter Logan. Avant-garde post-rock, drone-like sounds are their trademark. Teaming with Dutch musician Jozef Van Wissem, they composed and performed the score for Jarmusch’s vampire film Only Lovers Left Alive. They have released several EPs on the UK-based ATP festival’s record label. Live gigs with the duo are hand-picked and rare, usually they’re too busy making the next film. So don’t miss the chance to attend their live performance along to four silent films by Man Ray which they scored.
