Am 17. Dezember 2025 kehren Georges Paul und Axel Dörner in die Berliner Galerie World in a Room (Brunhildstraße 7, 10829 Berlin) zurück – erstmals seit ihrem eindrucksvollen Gastspiel im März 2024. In ihrem Duo entsteht ein Klangraum radikaler Offenheit, in dem Saxophon und Trompete nicht als Stimmen traditioneller Linien erscheinen, sondern als Laboratorien klanglicher Transformation. Pauls eruptive, spektral gefasste Saxophontexturen treffen auf Dörners mikrotonale Atemarchitekturen und formen ein Gefüge, das sich permanent zwischen Geräusch, Ton und Stille neu organisiert. Nichts strebt hier nach Auflösung: Reibung, Fragmente und flüchtige Verdichtungen werden zum Motiv eines gemeinsamen Hörens, das die Grenzen beider Instrumente befragt. Das Duo entfaltet eine fragile, zugleich hochintensive Topographie des Moments: ein Konzert, das den Raum in Bewegung versetzt und das Publikum in die vibrierenden Zwischenzonen freier Improvisation führt. Der Abend gliedert sich in zwei Sets: ein erstes, das ausschließlich die akustische Begegnung von Saxophon und Trompete fokussiert, und ein zweites, in dem Analogsynthesizer und elektronische Interventionen das Duo in eine erweiterte, pulsierende Klangarchitektur überführen.

On December 17, 2025, Georges Paul and Axel Dörner return to the Berlin gallery World in a Room (Brunhildstraße 7, 10829 Berlin) – for the first time since their impressive performance in March 2024. Their duo creates a soundscape of radical openness, in which saxophone and trumpet appear not as voices of traditional lines, but as laboratories of sonic transformation. Paul's eruptive, spectrally rendered saxophone textures encounter Dörner's microtonal breath architectures, forming a structure that constantly reorganizes itself between noise, tone, and silence. Nothing here strives for resolution: friction, fragments, and fleeting condensations become the motif of a shared listening experience that questions the boundaries of both instruments. The duo unfolds a fragile yet highly intense topography of the moment: a concert that sets the space in motion and leads the audience into the vibrant liminal spaces of free improvisation. The evening is divided into two sets: a first that focuses exclusively on the acoustic encounter of saxophone and trumpet, and a second in which analog synthesizers and electronic interventions transform the duo into an expanded, pulsating sound architecture.
