[EN] Ayom are musical seafarers who traverse the Black Atlantic from Brazil to Angola and Cape Verde with a distinctly Mediterranean identity.
“Their sound is a mix of Brazilian, Tropical, Afrolatin and Afrolusitan sounds played with Irresistible swing, like tropical sun penetrating grey clouds”.
Their name, Ayom, refers to the “Lord of Music” that in Afro brazilian mithology (Candomblè) exists in the tambor and taught humans to play music and sing.
Blending century old traditions with the black and rhythmical language of lusophone cultures, Ayom provide a hot-stepping and spiritual voyage across the African diaspora.
Thus, musicality flourishes nomadic, profound, provocative and dancing, where tradition and contami- nation, male and female, poetry and energy, joy and engagement coexist.
Ayom is a multicultural band, made up of 6 members from Angola, Brazil, Greece and Italy with Brazilian singer and percussionist Jabu Morales centre stage.

"Ihr Sound ist eine Mischung aus brasilianischen, tropischen, afrolatinischen und afrolusitanischen Klängen, die mit unwiderstehlichem Schwung gespielt werden, wie tropische Sonne, die durch graue Wolken dringt".
Ihr Name, Ayom, bezieht sich auf den "Herrn der Musik", der in der afrobrasilianischen Mithologie (Candomblè) im Tambor existiert und den Menschen das Musizieren und Singen beigebracht hat.
Indem sie jahrhundertealte Traditionen mit der schwarzen und rhythmischen Sprache der lusophonen Kulturen verbinden, bieten Ayom eine rasante und spirituelle Reise durch die afrikanische Diaspora.
So entsteht eine Musik, die nomadisch, tiefgründig, provokativ und tänzerisch ist, in der Tradition und Kontami- nation, Männlichkeit und Weiblichkeit, Poesie und Energie, Freude und Engagement nebeneinander bestehen.
Ayom ist eine multikulturelle Band, die aus 6 Mitgliedern aus Angola, Brasilien, Griechenland und Italien besteht. Im Mittelpunkt steht der brasilianische Sänger und Perkussionist Jabu Morales.

“Il loro sound è un mix di sonorità brasiliane, tropicali, afrolatine e afrolusitane suonate con una carica irresistibile, come un sole tropicale che penetra tra le nuvole”.
Il loro nome Ayom, è il “Signore della Musica”, che nella mitologia afro-brasiliana (Candomblè), è la divinità che vive dentro il tamburo e che ha insegnato agli esseri umani a fare musica e a cantare. Mescolando numerose tradizioni musicali e ritmiche, Ayom intraprende un viaggio emozionante ed inti- mo sulle rotte della diaspora africana.
Così fiorisce la loro musicalità nomade e profonda, provocatoria e danzante, dove convivono tradizione e contaminazione, maschile e femminile, poesia ed energia, gioia ed impegno sociale.
Ayom è una band multiculturale, composta da 6 membri provenienti da Angola, Brasile, Grecia e Italia con la cantante e percussionista Jabu Morales al centro della scena.

Seféria

Neu interpretierte traditionelle Musik aus dem Balkan und den Mittelmeerraum trifft auf Eigenkompositionen durch Seféria, die Gottheit der reisenden Musiker*innen. Sie tanzt auf ungeraden Rhythmen, öffnet Welten und fischt Melodien aus Raum und Zeit. Ihr Ursprung ist der Mittelmeerraum und die Idee, an die Heimaten zu glauben, die durch die Musik entstehen.
