Thee Church Ov Acid House is the project of Jörn Elling Wuttke and Oliver Bradford. While Wuttke has helped write Frankfurt techno history as part of Alter Ego and Acid Jesus, Bradford made his debut just this year with a fantastic solo EP on nd_baumecker's Freund_innen label. Together they form a likable acid cult with two wonderfully eccentric releases on Pudel Produkte: hypnotic trance rhythms, ritualistic machine funk and rave piano bursting with euphoria. For their live set at Klubnacht on Sunday in Säule, they'll be conjuring up an Autumn of Love. US-American Josh Wink has also secured himself a chapter in the history of acid house with his 1995 TB-303 breakbeat mash-up opus “Higher State Of Consciousness” – since then, the long-term vegan has put out over 400 releases by more than 100 artists on his label Ovum, and he continues to excel at mixing techno and house in his sets – tonight on the Berghain floor.
