Russian immigrant Sergei Kravinoff (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) is a big game hunter, but sees himself as a protector of nature. As an animal lover, many creatures are closer to him than humans. This may also be due to the fact that his father (Russell Crowe) abandoned him at a young age (Levi Miller) and favored his half-brother Dmitri (Fred Hechinger) instead. As adults, fate brings them together again. By this time, Sergei has built up his alter ego as Kraven the Hunter, whom the animals serve in his unique form of warfare.
