The Austrian band LIKE ELEPHANTS are opening a new chapter with their new EP. The five songs sound fresher and stylistically more innovative than anything fans have heard from them before. The band seems to have woken up from their dreamy sound universe and is now focusing on rock elements that provide more intensity and depth. The collaboration with Jordan Lawlor, the guitarist from M83, has given the songs an additional dimension and has audibly driven their
development forward.

Despite the new influences, the band’s characteristic style remains intact, enhanced by a noticeable maturity. With this EP, Like Elephants show that they are ready to break new ground and take their music into an exciting future.

To accompany the release of the EP, entitled The Grey One, the band will be embarking on a tour of Germany and Austria.

Die Leipziger Band mit Martin Schröder-Zabel (Gitarre, Gesang) und Axel Kunz (Drums, Klavier) bricht mit ihrem Sound die üblichen Erwartungen an ein Duo auf. Sie lieben die große Geste, die manchmal so roh klingt, wie man es von einem Duo erwartet und so groß, wie man es nicht für möglich hält. Die einfache Instrumentierung aus Gitarre und Drums schafft Platz für klare Linien, für pathetische Wucht und die Zwischenräume, die Songs erst spannend machen.

Atlas Bird wurden mit der Gitarrenmusik der 90er und 00er sozialisiert. Sie glauben noch immer an die traditionelle Band und hauen aus rohen Brocken euphorische Popsongs, die sie in gleichzeitig massive und verträumte Arrangements gießen

Das Debüt-Album wurde mit Produzent Franz Plasa aufgenommen.
