Vier im Leben erfolgreiche Frauen erinnern sich an den Sommer 1970, in dem sie sich als Zwölfjährige ewige Freundschaft schworen. Eine nostalgische Zeitreise, bei der Newcomer wie Christina Ricci auf Stars wie Melanie Griffith und Demi Moore treffen.

Die Berlinale Retrospektive mit dem Titel „Young at Heart – Coming of Age at the Movies“ widmet sich dem Jungsein und Erwachsenwerden als gemeinschaftlichem Kinoerlebnis. Circa 30 Filmschaffende werden ihren persönlichen Filmfavoriten zum Thema „Coming–of-Age“ für das Programm der Retrospektive auswählen.

Four successful women reminisce about the summer of 1970, when they became BFFs at the age of 12. A nostalgic trip down memory lane, featuring relative newcomers such as Christina Ricci alongside established stars including Melanie Griffith and Demi Moore.

The Retrospective takes a look back at being young and growing up under the title “Young at Heart – Coming of Age at the Movies”. Some 30 filmmakers will choose their personal favourite “coming of age” film for the Retrospective programme.
