Since 2004, the Out Of Line Weekender has brought together fans of dark electro, industrial, EBM, synth-pop and alternative music from all over the world. What started as a festival has grown into something bigger: a yearly family reunion where old friends meet again and new connections are made on and off the dancefloor.
In 2027, we return to Astra Kulturhaus Berlin once again - and we're bringing a lineup that spans over decades of dark electronic history.
Leading the bill are two iconic heavyweights: Mexican aggrotech legends Hocico, who have been channelling the chaos and intensity of Mexico City into feral dark electro since the early 90s, and Belgian electro-industrial pioneer Suicide Commando - Johan Van Roy's unmistakable creation that helped define the genre over 40 years of pounding beats, distorted vocals and dancefloor devastation.
Also joining us are IST IST, the Manchester post-punk outfit whose atmospheric, brooding sound has earned them a fiercely loyal following across the UK and Europe. Dark Rock force Erdling bring their signature fusion of industrial metal, dark rock and heavy electronics to our Weekender stage once again.
Berlin-based Zanias brings her genre-defying solo work, fusing coldwave, experimental pop, breakbeats and trance into something entirely her own. From the US, SWARM delivers a modern, unique dark electronic and industrial bass production that's led to numerous high-profile collaborations including HEALTH, Bad Omens and Till Lindemann. LA's Male Tears blend synthpop, darkwave, Italo disco and EBM into what they call "Dark Rave" - ironic, camp, and endlessly danceable.
Rounding out the lineup is a special piece of Out Of Line history: Belgian EBM pioneers Signal Aout 42, whose 1995 compilation Immortal Collection was the very first release on Out Of Line Music. SA42 have been shaping the sound of EBM and New Beat since 1981, and having them on this bill feels like a homecoming.
Also joining us are Turkish darkwave duo Ductape, handmade post-punk project Hinfort, and emerging, dark experimental artist Kllsignl - with many more acts yet to be announced.
From scene-defining pioneers to new voices pushing the boundaries of underground music, the Out Of Line Weekender 2027 offers a broad and carefully curated mix of Industrial, Dark Electro, EBM, Post-Punk, Neue Deutsche Härte, Aggrotech and Darkwave. Whether you've been part of the Out Of Line family for years or joining for the first time, this is the place to come together, discover music and celebrate our scene.
Join us for another unforgettable Out Of Line Festival at Astra Kulturhaus Berlin!
